Good Friday Events and Services.
Friday April 2nd, 2010
Mornington:Combined Churches procession of the Cross:
9.15am St. Marys Anglican Church, Whitby Street,
9.45am Methodist Church (Our presentation will be by the Y@M Group, under the leadership of Ginny Kitchingman. Please come along and support our young people!)
10.30am St. Francis Catholic Church,
11.00am Presbyterian Church, followed by morning tea.
You are welcome to join the procession at any point.
Mosgiel:
Walk of the Cross
Starting 8.45am at Holy Cross Catholic Church carpark going to the Stations of the Cross at Mosgiel Presbyterian Church, Memorial Park carpark, Anzac Park and onto St Lukes Church.
Service starts at 10.00am.
Please bring hot cross buns for cup of tea afterwards.
Caversham and South Dunedin:
Southern Walk of the Cross
Commencing 9am by the shark bell at the Esplanade and continuing along Forbury Road with stops for prayer and meditation; concluding with a brief Good Friday service at Caversham Baptist Church, South Road, at 10 am.
All are welcome to join in the walk for all or any part of it.
7pm "VIGIL"
At Holy Name Catholic Church, 420 Great King Street (opposite the Museum). Meditation on the Cross for todays people (the Dunedin Presbyterian/Catholic dialogue).
