Open Education Evening and Meal.
Wednesday March 16th, 2011
A VOICE FROM HEBRONThe Open Education programme at the Mornington Methodist Church, Galloway Street, resumes on Wednesday March 16, at 7.30pm.
Mai Tamimi, an Otago University staff member and a citizen of Hebron, will talk about life in the West Bank under Israeli domination. She has recently returned from a visit to her home town (famed in the Bible) and has a gripping and disturbing tale to tell, illustrated with her own photographs.
If you want to attend the pre-session dinner at 6pm book your place by ringing Judy Russell. There is a charge of $5 for the talk and $15 for the meal.
Dont miss this rare opportunity to hear at first hand from one of the most oppressed places in the world of the courage and determination it takes to stand against effectual tyranny.
Any profits will go the Christchurch Earthquake Relief Fund
